Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao will visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus tomorrow for two Novena-related programmes. The first will take place at 10.30 am. It is an Inter-religious Meet, organized by the Archdiocesan Apostolate for Inter-Religious Dialogue. The Archbishop will lead the gathering in prayer and three speakers, from the Hindu, Muslim and Christian traditions, will speak on the theme, God’s Love Urges Us to Live in Peace and Harmony. More than fifty schools will take part in the programme, some of which will present variety cultural items. Around a thousand people from various faiths have been taking part in this annual celebration for the last ten years or more. The second programme is the Special Mass that is organized every year on the 30th November, at 3.45 p.m. to pray for the Priests and the Religious working in the Archdiocese. This tradition, being followed for the last 40 years or so, sees the Archbishop leading a Solemn Mass with the attendance of around a hundred Priests and a large number of Religious, besides the faithful.
Owing to the morning programme, the engagement of the Archbishop published in the official ‘Renewal’ Bulletin for the 30th morning, i.e. meeting with priests in his office, stands cancelled.
